This iconic phrase, immortalized by the film industry, marks the moment right before the magic happens. It also inspired the name Camera, Coffee, Chat.
My passion for photography put me behind the camera. But when I faced a period of depression and anxiety, even photography lost its spark. Fortunately, I sought help. And in that process, I learned that finding joy in life’s simple moments can be a way forward.
The question is simple, but the answer takes reflection: What’s one small daily action that brings me joy?
For me, it’s capturing portraits, my coffee ritual, and deep conversations with strangers—among other things. Camera, Coffee, Chat.
If photography placed me behind the lens, embracing these small joys put me back in front of it.
That’s the heart of this project.
